Rhonda Mackert has been a featured artist on Real Piano Music.com since January 6, 2015.
Rhonda Mackert is often told her music "paints pictures" and "tells stories." Indeed her piano compositions are tender, evocative and heartfelt, drawn from her own personal journey where she finds inspiration from her spiritual life, relationships and the beauty and mystery of nature.
Rhonda grew up in the mountains of Colorado where she began taking piano lessons at age eight. At twelve she changed her musical focus to the flute. As an adult, she moved back to the piano where she found greater freedom of expression. In response to requests from friends and family, Rhonda recorded and released her debut CD, "When the Moon Cries" in the fall of 2007. It was well received, being featured and played on solo piano radio stations and placing fourth in the 2009 Just Plain Folks awards for Best Album, Solo Piano category.
Her second CD, "A Wild Beauty," was released in November 2011. One of the songs from this CD is featured on the "Whisperings Solo Piano Volume 2" compilation CD. Rhonda's newest CD, "Safe Harbor," was released in December 2014.
Rhonda, her husband and three dogs live in the Seattle area where she has performed at private residences, bookstores and community events, including performances with many other well-known pianists. She's written and played original compositions for several weddings and her music is used by massage therapists, photographers and videographers. Her music may be heard on Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, Enlightened Piano Radio, Sky FM Solo Piano Channel, Pandora Radio and many others.

"A Wild Beauty"

The first time I heard Rhonda's song, "Dreamer's Lament," I remember being immediately drawn in by the beauty of this haunting melody. Then I listened to the sad and sweet "Night Song," and again I was transported. I also enjoyed the upbeat feel of "Where Sea and Stars Meet." Whether you're looking for sad and sweet, or happy and upbeat, Rhonda has something for everyone. She is versatile and talented with her music delivery, conveying many emotions through her songs. I definitely recommend Rhonda's lovely music....truly enjoyable.
The beautiful music you hear is Rhonda's composition "Dreamer's Lament" playing on the video below.
